EDP Florida Competitive Leagues: Spring 2021 Midseason Recap
By Evan Unger, EDPSoccer.com
The EDP Florida Competitive League is off to a hot start, with teams vying for their spot in the League Playoffs this June.
Over 320 teams are competing from 9U-19U in both the Central Florida and South Florida regions of the league. This Spring, the league also introduced girls divisions for the first time, with three age groups participating in the Central Florida region.
Over 375 games have been played so far this season, and, with more than 60% of the games being decided by two goals or less, teams are experiencing the true meaning of a good game every week with limited travel. With top clubs from around the state participating, and with true promotion and relegation up for grabs this Spring, there will be an exciting finish to the last two months of the season.
