EDP Winter Classic expands to include U9-U14 age groups
East Brunswick, NJ (Via EDP) – EDP has added U9 through U14 boys and girls age groups to its popular EDP Winter Classic, the result of demand from clubs throughout the Northeast. The U9 through U14 age groups will play at Hilltop Farm Fields in Royersford, PA, northwest of Philadelphia, while the U15-U19 boys and girls age groups will continue to play at Joint Base MDL in Fort Dix, NJ and Friendship Fields in Bordentown, NJ.
This year’s EDP Winter Classic will take place December 2-3, 2017.
“Clubs have expressed interest in making this a club-wide event and we are happy to be able to accommodate this request. Hilltop Farm is a fine soccer complex and we are excited to make this great event accessible to more teams from an even greater geography than ever before,” said EDP CEO Alan Shilling.
Tournament format will be: U9-U10: 7v7, 50 minute games, four game guarantee; U11-U12: 9v9, 60 minute games, three game guarantee, plus possible playoff game; U13-U19: 11v11, 60 minute games, three game guarantee, plus possible playoff game
