Elite Academy League National Championships wrap up 2021-2022 season

The 2021-22 Elite Academy League (EA) season came to a close in June, as the EA National Championships were held at Moneygram Park in Dallas, Texas.

With the EA expanding into 6 divisions and elite clubs from all over the U.S. competing, the league emerged as one of the top platforms for elite boys soccer this season. The year was highlighted by intense competition, national showcases providing exposure and national crossover games all with the goal of raising the overall game of soccer in the U.S. The year also brought Talent Identification and exposure to top players inside each conference.

The EA National Championships were held over 4 days and brought about some exciting games and high-level competition. The following teams finished as 2022 EA national champions and finalists:

U13
Champion: 1974 Newark FC

U14
Champion: ALBION SC Riverside
Finalist: Wasatch SC

U15
Champion: LA Surf SC
Finalist: Wasatch SC

Champion: ALBION SC Las Vegas

With the year of growth that the EA experienced, it is now turning its attention to the 2022-2023 campaign, with an expanded footprint as its set to feature an additional 20-plus clubs as new members. The EA has announced So Cal Sports Complex in CA, Lakewood Ranch, Florida and Kino Complex in Tucson for the National Events this year. For more information on the EA, click here.
