Expanded ECNL Boys Regional League Championships format unveiled

Richmond, Va. – ECNL Boys announced an expanded postseason format for the 2022-23 season, highlighted by five Regional League Championships that will take place from June 16-18.

The five Regional League Championships this season will be:

• ECNL Regional League Championship – Central – (Great Lakes Alliance, Heartland) held at SLYSA Soccer Complex in St. Charles, Missouri

• ECNL Regional League Championship – Northeast – (Northeast) held at PDA Soccer Complex and Morningside Farm in Somerset, New Jersey

• ECNL Regional League Championship – Southeast – (Carolinas, Southeast) held at Bryant Park Soccer Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina

• ECNL Regional League Championship – Texas – (North Texas, Texas, USC) held at Russell Creek Park in Plano, Texas

• ECNL Regional League Championship – West – (Northwest, SoCal) held at SilverLakes Complex in Norco, California

ECNL Regional League Championship – Central | SCHEDULE MATRIX

At the Central Championship, eight teams will participate in a knockout tournament at each age group to decide the Central Regional League Champion.

ECNL Regional League Championship – Northeast | SCHEDULE MATRIX

At the Northeast Championship, eight teams will participate in a knockout tournament at each age group to decide the Northeast Regional League Champion.

ECNL Regional League Championship – Southeast | SCHEDULE MATRIX

At the Southeast Championship, eight teams will participate in a knockout tournament at each age group to decide the Southeast Regional League Champion.

ECNL Regional League Championship – Texas | SCHEDULE MATRIX

At the Texas Championship, eight teams will participate in a knockout tournament at each age group to decide the Texas Regional League Champion.

ECNL Regional League Championship – West | SCHEDULE MATRIX

In the West Regional League Championship, at the U13 and U14 levels, four teams from the ECNL Regional League – SoCal will participate in the semifinals and finals to determine the West Regional League Champion. At the U15-U18/19 age groups, the top performing teams from SoCal will face off with the ECNL Regional League – Northwest qualifiers, with the six teams being split into two groups of three and the two group winners playing each other for the West Regional League Championship.

The U13-U17 Regional League Champions at each age group will then advance to the ECNL Boys Regional League Finals, which will run concurrently with the ECNL Boys Club Competition National Finals in July. There they will be joined by the overall number one team in each age group from the Florida Regional League, as well as the top two teams from the Virginia Regional League Final Four.

There they will compete in an eight team knockout bracket in each age group to decide the overall ECNL Boys Regional League Champions, while also giving each team a guarantee of two games.
