FC DELCO Boys Fall Showcase 2022: U19 Showcase Black Division Preview

FC DELCO ECNL 05/04 (PA): Currently awaiting the start of their ECNL Boys Northeast Conference slate, FC DELCO will gear up for their league campaign with a strong tune-up at their home club’s showcase event. Last year in the 3rd Annual FC DELCO Fall Showcase, the team earned a pair of draws in a highly competitive U17 bracket.

Two Bridges Football Club 2005 (NY): One of Eastern New York’s tougher teams in the 2005 age group, Manhattan-based Two Bridges FC will aim to add to their trophy case this month, after winning their division at the Massapequa Winter Showcase and placing first in the EDP League North Atlantic Spring 2022 season. Two Bridges FC also finished 2nd in the USYS New England Regional Showcase last May.

Match Fit Academy FC Ocean 2005 (NJ): New Jersey State Cup semifinalist Match Fit Academy Ocean 2005 will be one of two teams representing the well-known club in this U19 bracket. This particular Match Fit squad had a strong season last year in US Youth Soccer National League P.R.O. and they finished as division champions at the PDA Boys Thanksgiving Invitational last fall.

Penn Alliance Select Elite 04 (PA): An impressive 2021-22 season for Penn Alliance Select Elite 04 saw them advance all the way to the semifinal round of the USYS Eastern Regional Championships. Alliance was outstanding in league play, placing 3rd in their USYS National League P.R.O. division, and 1st in the USYS Mid-Atlantic Conference during the spring. Last fall, they won a championship at the prestigious Bethesda Premier Cup.

Match Fit Academy FC ECNL 04/05 (NJ): ECNL Northeast Conference side and 2022 ECNL Playoffs knockout stage qualifiers Match Fit Academy (pictured above) will attempt to add another championship to their records, after securing a pair of big ones last season. Match Fit captured the US Club Soccer New Jersey State Cup title in Spring 2022, and in Fall 2021 they finished at the top of their bracket in the PDA Boys Thanksgiving Invitational.

Steel United NJ 2004 NL (NJ): One of several New Jersey squads playing in the U19 Showcase Black Division, Steel United has piled up 5 division titles in tournament competition since the start of last season. Among those was an outstanding performance at the 23rd Annual FC DELCO Players Cup over Memorial Day Weekend 2022. In league play, Steel United finished at the top of the table last spring in the US Youth Soccer Mid Atlantic Conference.

United Philly Soccer 2005 (PA): The reigning champion of the top flight of the FC DELCO Players Cup, United Philly Soccer will seek to win another title at an FC DELCO-hosted showcase this fall. United has been a dominant force over the past two seasons, as they racked up 1st place finishes in the EDP Cup Fall 2021 Showcase, the Penn Fusion 2022 Winter Showcase and the 2022 USYS Spring Regional Showcase.

Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals Elite 64 04/05 (PA): Local Philadelphia area squad Ukrainian Nationals Elite 64 is a returning champion to the FC DELCO Fall Showcase, having won the U17 Showcase Black Division in 2021. The team went on to capture the Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup title in Spring 2022, and they ultimately advanced all the way to the semifinals of the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

Lancaster Elite Collegiate Academy (PA): The only in-state representative in Bracket C, Lancaster Elite has been solid in both showcase action and league play since the start of last season. Their 2021-22 campaign was highlighted by tournament titles at the EDP Cup Fall 2021 Showcase and the 2022 FC Europa Turf Cup. In league competition last spring, Lancaster Elite finished at the top of the table in the US Youth Soccer Mid Atlantic Conference.

PDA Boys 04/05 ECNL (NJ): Another ECNL Boys Northeast Conference side, PDA will utilize the FC DELCO Fall Showcase as a key tune-up ahead of their league schedule. PDA earned 2nd place finishes last season in both the US Club Soccer New Jersey State Cup and the US Club Soccer Mid-Atlantic Regionals.

Potomac Soccer Association Blue 05 (MD): Maryland State Cup finalist Potomac SA Blue has gone through quite the gambit of high-level showcases, and they have fared extremely well along the way. Potomac won their division at the Bethesda Premier Cup last November, and they went on to place 2nd at the Disney Boys Soccer Showcase before finishing as a semifinalist in the 2022 Jefferson Cup.

Jersey Shore Boca Jr FC Schalke (NJ): This year’s FC DELCO Fall Showcase will be an opportunity for Jersey Shore Boca to repeat as champions of the event, following up on their 1st place finish last year in the U18 Showcase Gold Division. After that title run last November, they went on to add another one in the 2021 PA Classics Winter College Showcase.
