(Via Philadelphia Union / Sam Horbal) – As soccer tournaments around the world start to heat up, the Union Academy has entered into its very own playoff season. After a strong regular season campaign, every single age group was able to qualify for their respective playoffs.

The U18s, U16s and U14s will all be traveling to Dallas, Texas this upcoming week. The U18s and U16s will be arriving for the group stage of the USSDA’s playoffs on June 22, and the U14s will be taking part in the USSDA Showcase earlier in the week.

The U18s will be facing Beachside SC, Chicago Fire and Kendall SC. The Union have the highest points-per-game average of the bunch (2.19, which was the eight highest nationally) and will be hoping to navigate their way through the group and make a run for the finals.

The U16s find themselves in an extremely tough group. Finishing with 1.96 points per game, the Union finished with the 12th highest mark nationally. But they’ll be going up against Real Salt Lake (1.63), Kendall SC (1.56) and Vancouver Whitecaps (2.32 – 3rd nationally). Back in December, however, the U16s were able to beat Vancouver 2-1. They will surely be hoping to repeat that result, as well as pick up points in the other matches.
