Florida State voted No. 1 in first NSCAA women’s top 25 poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Via NSCAA) – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its first Regional and National Rankings for NCAA Division I Women’s Teams on Tuesday.

After opening the season 2-0, the Florida State Seminoles garnered 30 first-place votes and a total of 818 points in the top spot. In the No. 2 spot is Virginia after a 1-0 start and 790 total points.

Stanford, Texas A&M, and North Carolina round out the top 5 teams. Regional rankings are also available here.

The next rankings will be released Tuesday, Sept. 1, and will include polls for NCAA Division I men’s teams and both Junior College divisions.

The NSCAA Regional and National College Rankings are a week-to-week status of qualified programs. These polls are released on Tuesday afternoons on NSCAA.com during the college soccer season. More information about these rankings can be found here.
