George Mason women’s soccer add midfielder Alyse Lartigue to 2021 class
FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason University women’s soccer head coach Manya Puppione has announced that midfielder Alyse Lartigue will join the Patriots roster this fall.
A native of Crofton, Maryland, Lartigue attended Arundel Senior High School in Gambrills.
“I have watched Alyse grow as a player these past few years of recruiting her, and I am excited for her to be a part of our team,” Puppione said. “We see the potential that she has to make an impact on those around her, on and off the field. She is a very versatile, technically and tactically skilled player who will continue to develop in our team environment.”
Lartigue earned three letters while suiting up for Arundel. She played her club soccer for OPSA Magic ’03 while serving as team captain. A gifted student in the classroom, Lartigue also was a member of the Math Honor Society and Honor Roll at Arundel.
“Alyse is a great competitor who rises to the level of any challenge,” OPSA Magic ’03 head coach Albert Oni said. “There is no ceiling on her potential. She has all of the tools, speed, skill, size, intelligence, toughness, composure on the ball, and great character. She is also very outgoing and is a very good spirit to have on the team. She is a solid defensive midfielder with the versatility to play several positions. Alyse will be a great asset to George Mason.”
