Girls Academy continues investment in video technology
The Girls Academy (GA) and Veo have entered a non-exclusive partnership which expands on the league’s efforts to invest resources into video technology ahead of its inaugural season.
Today’s announcement comes shortly after the GA unveiled a major partnership with high-tech video platform InStat. The deal with InStat provides all GA clubs with a sophisticated video exchange platform, which will play a key role in technical analysis and for college recruiting.
Veo provides a portable and hands-free filming solution, which utilizes artificial intelligence to smoothly follow the flow of games and/or training. Per GA league rules, all home teams are required to record and upload game video, and Veo will offer an easy recording option for all GA members at a reduced price.
“Lee Hudson at Veo has worked diligently to provide the GA with the best packages available with a top-quality camera solution along with additional support and training resources,” said Ashlee Fontes-Comber, GA board of directors. “They understand the growing technological demands of the coach and player, especially in our current Covid climate, and we look forward to Lee and Veo supporting our membership throughout the year.”
“We are very excited to be a part of this new journey with GA, offering portable and affordable recording solutions to the league. Veo truly values the development pathway the GA is providing for our nation’s female athletes and we’re honored to work alongside the league,” said Lee Hudson, Veo USA Market Manager. “With so many leagues available here in the U.S, the GA stands out above all others due to its highly-experienced staff and passion for providing an environment where both teams and players can develop. Veo and GA will be working closely to not only a filming solution but as a resource to all the GA clubs in getting the most out of their Veo experience”
The inaugural GA Advisory Panel conference representative selections are scheduled to be announced during the first week of August. For more information about the player-led board click here.
