These girls will be competing alongside about 90 other players born in 2004-06 from the ECNL portion of the training camp. Together, they’ll play with and against the best athletes in the country, take in off-the-field presentations and learn from the nation’s top youth coaches. All costs – including airfare, lodging, meals and training gear – are covered by US Club Soccer and Nike for the id2 competitors.
The camp is sanctioned as an Olympic Development Program by U.S. Soccer and the U.S. Olympic Committee. Players from all over the country were considered for invitations, regardless of U.S. Soccer affiliation.
This camp officially concludes the id2 age group cycle targeting 2004 girls. A complete list of attendees, including ECNL participants, can be found here. A tentative schedule can be found here. Next year, the id2 girls National Selection team will begin embarking on annual international trips.
