Girondins USA player Dani Fuentes called to Bordeaux first team

Girondins USA Player Danielle (Dani) Fuentes has been called to the Bordeaux Feminines First Team in France. Dani is a midfielder for the Girondins USA U19 team. She will travel to Bordeaux, France on Monday March 5, 2018. Nenad Vilotijevic, president of FC Girondins de Bordeaux USA and head coach of the U19 team will accompany her to France.

While in Bordeaux Dani will try out for the Bordeaux Ladies Division 1 squad. She will train and practice with the Division 1 Feminines head coaches and squad for one week. Dani will experience the lifestyle of a professional soccer player in France firsthand as she demonstrates her talent and love of the sport in front of Bordeaux coaches.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to play professionally and to be able to get an opportunity like this is a great step towards achieving that goal,” said Dani when asked about her upcoming travels to the professional club in Bordeaux.

If selected to join the Bordeaux Feminines Division 1 squad Dani will report back to Bordeaux, France this summer as an official member of the club. She will begin to train and compete with the squad immediately.
