Houston Texans SC to build comprehensive soccer complex
(Via Houston Texans SC) – Texans Soccer Club has reached an agreement to develop and build a state-of-the-art training and match complex in Cypress along the Grand Parkway. The project represents a significant investment by the Texans SC to provide a foundation for the club which has divisions across the Houston area.
The nearly 30 acre site will include eight soccer fields, four futsal courts and training facilities that will serve as the new home for the Cypress division and provide additional top quality fields for our pre-academy and USSDA programs. The site will support all the Texans divisions as well as community activities including friendlies, tournaments, leagues, coaching/referee courses and camps.
“We are very fortunate to have found the ideal location to cater to our Northwest Houston families”, said Lee Baker, Texans SC Executive Director. “Phase one will include turf fields and futsal courts to immediately address our need for more training space during inclement weather and once phase two is complete, the complex will serve as an example of the commitment we have to youth soccer in the community.”

The complex will be located off Kitzman Road in Cypress, 10 miles from our Klein division at uScore Soccer, 13 miles from our North division at Burroughs Park, and 7 miles from our Cypress division at Sandlot Sports. Additionally, the location will be a great option for our Aggieland division to host league matches.
Planning for construction on the Texans SC complex is expected to begin immediately, with completion of phase one estimated by January 2017. The Kitzman road location positions the club at the heart of significant development planned along the Grand Parkway corridor.
The acquisition of the land and development of the fields has been made possible thanks to the assistance of private corporate relationships. The club will continue with fundraising activities to enhance the training facilities being planned as part of phase two of the project.
“This project is only possible because of a group of unselfish Texans’ families,” said Baker. “They’ve invested time every day, working with the Texans leadership to make this dream a reality”
