Inaugural ECNL Regional League Championships crown 17 winners
When the sun rose on Championship Sunday, the atmosphere in New Jersey, North Carolina and Texas was full of possibilities. Thirty-four teams walked on to the pitch aiming for the elusive ECNL Regional League Championship trophy and for the U15-U17 ages, a spot in the Open Cup at the ECNL National Playoffs in Lakewood Ranch, FL in late June.
Just a few short hours later, 17 teams felt the jubilation and exhilaration of victory, while an equal number felt the sting of defeat. Multiple clubs saw multiple teams win an ECNL Regional League Championship, and some underdogs completed their run with a title.
Below you will find a breakdown of every age group at every location, along with words from the coaching staff of teams moving on to Florida.
