SoccerWire continues its annual article series previewing the Jefferson Cup’s Championship Divisions. In this edition, we take a look ahead at the U14 Girls age group.
This year’s U14 Girls Championship Division features eight of the top teams in the country in a two-bracket format. The top two sides in each bracket will compete in the Finals on Sunday, March 16.
Bracket A
GSA 11 ECNL: After earning shutouts in two of their past three ECNL matches, GSA will be looking to continue their winning ways down in Richmond. They have conceded just four goals in Southeast Conference play this season, leading the team to a 6-0-1 record on 19 points.
Nationals Blue 11 ECNL: After making the jump to the ECNL for the 2024-25 season, Nationals Blue have proven that they can adapt to anything that’s thrown at them. The attack-minded team outscored their opponents 16-5, earning five wins in their final six matches to cap off their fall campaign.
Richmond United ECNL 11: Started their 2025 season in fine fashion, pulling off four consecutive victories in ECNL Mid-Atlantic Conference play. Richmond’s consistent work along the defensive line (10 goals allowed) has the team currently in second (10-2-0, 30 points) in a tough Mid-Atlantic Conference.
SCA 11 Purple: A newcomer to the Jefferson Cup, SCA is one of the top clubs coming out of the Oregon-Pacific Northwest area. Defender Attie Youel and Forward Molly Schmidt were both recently called up to the U.S. U-14 West Region Talent ID Mini Camp in February.

Arlington SA 11 ECNL: Last year’s Jefferson Cup champions are back to reclaim their title. Bethesda SC 11 ECNL: The leaders in the ECNL North Atlantic Conference (8-1-1, 25 points), Bethesda are coming off of a strong two game road swing in which they defeated both PDA Blue (2-1) and White (2-0). Their backline has led the charge, earning eight shutouts across all ECNL competitions this season.
Eclipse Select SC 11 ECNL: After having made the finals in last year’s Championship Division, Eclipse are back looking to win top honors. NC Courage ECNL Academy 11: Placed second in the Elite Gold Division at the recent visitRaliegh.com Girls Junior Showcase, going undefeated in their group while outsourcing their opponents 13-2.
