Jefferson Cup ready to get underway with U9-U14 Boys Weekend, featuring 478 teams

Richmond, VA – The 2025 Jefferson Cup gets underway this weekend, as some of the best U9-U14 boys teams from the U.S. and beyond go head-to-head in the highly-anticipated tournament.

A total of 478 teams will be competing on the opening weekend of this year’s Jefferson Cup, hailing from a range of the top clubs across North America. Games will be played between March 8-9 on field locations around the greater Richmond area. (SCHEDULE)

Teams accepted into this year’s tournament play at the highest levels in multiple leagues across the country including ECNL Boys, MLS NEXT, US Youth Soccer National League and US Club Soccer National Premier Leagues (NPL), among others.

Regarded as one of the best tournaments in the nation, the Jefferson Cup will again feature teams from across the United States.

A total of 30 U.S. states will have teams playing in this year’s competition, over the course of four weekends: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Multiple other countries will also be attending this year’s event, with teams coming from Canada, Jamaica and Bermuda.
