Jefferson Cup 2025 Showcase Division Preview: U15 Boys

SoccerWire continues its annual article series previewing the Jefferson Cup’s top brackets. In this edition, we take a look ahead at the U15 Boys Showcase Division.

This year’s top flight features 20 of the top teams in the country in a Showcase style two-bracket format. (COLLEGE COACHES)

Bracket A

Beach FC ECNL 2010: Earned top honors in the ECNL’s Mid-Atlantic Conference (12-1-1, 37 points) by going on a six game undefeated run to start the 2024-2025 season. Their attack was particularly on point all season, registering 46 goals which was the most in the conference.

Charlotte SA Academy ECNL 2010: After making the Group Stage at last year’s ECNL National Playoffs Charlotte SA returned seeking greater glory in 2024-2025. Thus far, they have found it pulling off an 8-2-2 record on 26 points with two games left in the Mid-Atlantic Conference. Their recent 4-0 shutout over NCFC Youth shows that they are in peak form heading into the Jefferson Cup.

Cleveland Force ECNL 2010: In a tough Ohio Valley Conference, Cleveland have proven that they can grind out results against the best in the ECNL. They have earned eight points in their past four games, limiting opponents to just three goals. This includes a tough 0-0 draw on the road against WNY Flash.

HEX FC Dominion ECNL 2010: Pulled off their first ECNL North Atlantic Conference victory of the season last weekend, blanking LVU Rush 1-0 at home. At February’s Penn Fusion Winter Showcase they proved that they can also perform under pressure knocking off both NEFC NAL 2010 (2-0) and Pittsburgh Riverhounds Academy (2-1).

Fairfax Virginia Union ECNL 2010: Shut out NCFC Youth and the Wilmington Hammerheads both by 4-0 scorelines to finish their season to pull themselves up to a 7-6-1 record on 26 points. Their attacking corps is led by forward/midfielder Jackson Lee, who was recently selected to participate in February’s USYNT ID Center event.

NVA ECNL 2010: In their final season before making the jump to MLS NEXT, Northern Virginia Alliance are looking to end on a high note. Thus far, they have accomplished their task finishing the ECNL’s Mid-Atlantic Conference regular season with a 10-2-1 record on 31 points. They are equally effective in Showcase winning the 2024 Bethesda Premier Cup Potomac Division while allowing just one goal in four games.

OSU Force Academy Black: Joining this year’s showcase event from Ottawa, Canada OSU Force are looking to make a name at this year’s event. They are the winners of the 2024 Canada Cup where they knocked off Pickering FC (3-1) and North Toronto Soccer Club (3-0).

STA 2010 ECNL: enter this year’s Showcase in fine fashion, having won two of their last three games in the ECNL’s New England Conference. Included in those victories is a 7-0 shutout of East Meadow SC and a one goal victory over FC Stars (2-1). Defender Cortland Martin was called up for the 2010 USYNT ID Center event last September.

SYC U15 MLS NEXT: Last year’s U14 Jefferson Cup Championship Division winners are back and looking to continue their strong run this season. They are coming off perhaps one of their best results of the MLS NEXT season, having just held off the New York Red Bulls Academy in a 4-4 draw.

VDA 2010 ECNL: Started 2025 on a high note, earning victories over Arlington Soccer (6-2), Charlotte SA (3-0), and Wilmington Hammerheads (3-0) to put them right into the ECNL Champions League hunt. Midfielder James Baldwin was recently called up to the ODP National Select Team for the 2010 age group.

Bracket B

Baltimore Celtic ECNL 2010: Booked two clean sheets at the Feature Weekend Showcase knocking off Ohio Premier (1-0) while holding onto a 0-0 draw against Coppermine SC ECNL RL. Their defense has also been on point in league play, earning two consecutive shutouts over Penn Fusion SA (2-0) and HEX FC (3-0).

East Coast FC 2010 ECNL RL: Pulled off an undefeated record at the SUSA Winter Showcase (2-0-1, 5 points) to finish atop the Premier Division. They dominated play at the February National Event outsourcing their opponents 7-1 while earning shutouts over NYSC (4-0) and Oakwood SC (3-1)

FC Europa ECNL RL 2010: Held off the Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals (1-0) last weekend to earn their third ECNL RL Northeast Conference victory. Their bread and butter is their defense, who has yet to allow more than one goal in conference play this season.

Maryland UnitedMaryland United FC 2010 ECNL: Pulled off back-to-back victories over Match Fit Academy (2-1) and LVU Rush (1-0) to kickstart a busy March. They also recently went undefeated at their Showcase event in March winning both matches in the Premier Division.

NC Fusion ECNL 2010: Shut out Skyline Elite FC 3-0 in ECNL Mid-Atlantic Conference play earlier this month earning their first clean sheet. In the visitRaleigh.com College Showcase in November they won all three of their matches in the Elite White Division outscoring their opponents 13-3.

Potomac Soccer ECNL 2010: Coming off of a strong VDA Boys College Showcase in which they defeated both the hosts (3-1) and Richmond Kickers ECNL RL Elite Red (2-1), Potomac are looking to continue their impressive run in Showcase competitions in Richmond. In the ECNL’s North Atlantic Conference they have also held their own with victories over Maryland United FC (2-1) and LVU Rush (3-0)

Richmond United ECNL 2010: Finished atop the Elite Gold Division in Bracket A at the visitRaleigh.com Boys College Soccer Showcase (3-0-0, 9 points) in November. Their defense led the charge allowing just one goal while shutting out Charlestown NPL (2-0) and Alexandria Soccer of MLS NEXT (6-0). They ended the competition by grinding out a 2-1 victory over Atlanta Fire.

Villarreal VA 2010 ECNL RL: Currently sitting in first place in the ECNL RL Virginia Conference South Division (7-0-1, 22 points) Villarreal are looking to make waves in the top flight at the Jefferson Cup. In league play, they dominated both sides of the field leading the Virginia Conference in goals scored (36) while placing third in goals allowed (7).

Wake FC 2010 MLS NEXT: Pulled off back-to-back shutout victories in MLS NEXT last weekend against Nashville SC (3-0) and KSA (1-0) to extend their unbeaten run to four games. At 6-2-2 with 20 points they are currently in third place in the Southeastern Conference.

YMS 2010 Boys Premier United: Earned a spot at USYS Nationals by defeating Madison 56ers Elite 3-1 in a Qualifier at the recent National Event at Round Rock. They proved that they can also handle their own Showcase competition, having just earned an undefeated record at the Best of the East Showcase competition (1-0-2, 5 points) which included a 3-0 victory over Match Fit Academy ECNL
