Long Island Junior Soccer League announces collaborative partnership with The Coaching Manual
The Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) today announced a collaborative partnership with The Coaching Manual (TCM), which will now be the preferred digital coaching and player development partner of the League.
The British-based TCM is aligned with key players in the sport of soccer in both the U.S. and UK, including English Premier League club Southampton, Scottish Premier League club Rangers FC, the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association, the National Capital Soccer League of Maryland-Washington DC, as well as national US Soccer youth affiliate American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).
The Coaching Manual is an on-line video resource, accessed via subscription, which enables coaches to improve their understanding of coaching and create a first-class learning environment for their players.
TopTekkers is TCM’s recently launched online and app-based resource creating a learning platform for young, aspiring soccer players. The platform is geared towards players aged 5 – 14 and enables coaches as well as parents to assist in their young players development.
“The LIJSL is very excited to bring both of these state-of-the-art digital platforms to our membership to optimize coaching education as well as the individual player experience”, stated Steve Padaetz, League’s Director of Marketing & Member Services. “These tools align themselves perfectly with our league-wide approach for player development through enhanced coaching education”.
The multi-year agreement covers joint marketing & promotional activities, with LIJSL named a partner organization of The Coaching Manual, as well as a founding partner of TopTekkers. Both parties will work on collaborations for in-person demonstrations for LIJSL member clubs, as well as promoting each’s’ efforts in youth development. The Coaching Manual will also have a presence at league events, including the Annual LIJSL Convention.
“It was clear from our very first discussions with Long Island Junior Soccer League that, from top to bottom, they shared a common philosophy and enthusiasm with us around how young soccer players can be developed,” stated Chris Barton, Director and Founder, The Coaching Manual. “We are excited to be working with such a forward-thinking organization that is filled with great people and has such a rich history.”
Barton added, “The opportunity to meet with the wider Long Island soccer family is a real privilege and we can’t wait to get started!”
