Manhattan College announces 12-player women’s soccer signing class
Riverdale, NY – Manhattan College women’s soccer head coach Brendan Lawler has announced his incoming class of 12 student-athletes for upcoming season.
Coach Lawler on the Incoming Class: “This is the largest class we have brought in during my tenure. This class will not only add great depth but strengthen us across every line on the field. The returning players had a great start to our Spring season and know we can continue to build on the quality of our play. With their mindset and the addition of our incoming players, we are excited for what the future holds.”
Coach Lawler on Arora:
“Amrit is a forward that can play wide or centrally. She has a creative flair in the attacking third and looks to set up her teammates as much as she looks to score.”
Coach Lawler on Tarullo:
Georgia is an aggressive Goalkeeper that is controlling in her penalty area, and a strong shot stopper. She is also a solid organizer and communicator, which are keys for the position.
Coach Lawler on Martuscello:
Olivia possess a strong combination of technical and hard-nosed play. She can play a few different positions in the back line and midfield, helping to both create for us and disrupt the opponent.
Coach Lawler on Caneda:
“Nikki is a technical, hard-working attacking player that has played across the midfield and up top. She has the ability to help us score goals with her vision, movement and ball-striking.”
Coach Lawler on Jackson:
“Corrine is a dynamic forward, who can run at defenders with the ball, run behind them off the ball and score goals in many different way. She has a strong combination of skill, grit and toughness.”
Coach Lawler on Feller:
“Maddie is a fast-attacking player that can play many positions. Her athleticism will allow her to help the team on both sides of the ball no matter where she is playing.”
Coach Lawler on Ward:
“Makena is a quick, technical player who excels at helping her teams keep possession. The simple decisions she makes can really help open up defenses.”
Coach Lawler on Zimmer:
“Brooke is another attacking player with good speed and a skill-set that can help in a few different positions at the college level. Her shot and services will lead to many dangerous chances.”
Coach Lawler on Gallagher:
“Erin is a hard-working attacking player, who helps all her teams press the opponent leading to scoring opportunities. Her work is infectious and makes everyone around her better.”
Coach Lawler on Nicholas:
“Julia is a hard-nosed wide player that can play in the back and up top. She has the ability to help her team get forward no matter where she is playing.”
Coach Lawler on Jones:
“Grayson is a strong central defender that can strike a great ball. Her ability to disrupt the opponents attack, win possession and get us forward quickly with long accurate strikes is a huge asset.”
Coach Lawler on Derrico:
“Sami brings a year of experience from a top program, which will allow her to hit the ground running with us. Her attacking mindset and creativity in the attacking third will help the team be more dangerous.”
