Marquette women’s soccer welcomes first recruiting class under head coach Chris Allen

First-year head coach Chris Allen has announced the addition of eight newcomers to the Marquette University women’s soccer program for the 2024 campaign.

Marquette’s 19 returning letterwinners will be joined by seven freshmen and one transfer, goalkeeper Elise Krone, who has already joined the team after competing with TCU in 2023.

“I am very excited to introduce our newcomers for the 2024 season,” Allen said.  “While I have only known the group for a short time, I am very encouraged by its qualities on the field and most importantly the teammates and leaders they are off of it.

“I believe wholeheartedly that this group is up for the challenge in helping to re-establish the tradition of competitive success that the Marquette women’s soccer program is known for,” Allen added.  “We look forward to their arrival on campus and representing the Blue & Gold.”

The Golden Eagles open a four-match spring campaign on Saturday, March 23 at Illinois at 2 p.m. CT.
