Maryland Open Soccer League expands, adds Elite component
The Maryland Open Soccer League (MOSL) now has two main components beginning in spring 2015. The first component is the “regular” MOSL which existed in fall 2014. The second component is MOSL Elite, which is permitting select/travel teams to play a schedule of games under the Maryland Open Soccer League umbrella in order to qualify their teams for certain Maryland state-level tournaments such as the Maryland State Cup and the Maryland President’s Cup.
For spring 2015, MOSL has a total of 12 divisions and is comprised of a total of 77 different teams and at least 12 different clubs playing in the league. And, the U10, U12, and U14 age groups are all now multi-division-level with Division 1 and Division 2 sub-groups.
For Spring 2015 MOSL Elite has a total of 3 divisions and is comprised of a total of 23 different teams from 19 different clubs playing in the league.
Combined, MOSL and MOSL Elite have a total of 15 divisions and a total of 100 different teams playing across the league this season.
This is the Maryland Open Soccer League’s second-ever season.
