Maryland state ODP players selected for Region I events

(Via Maryland State Youth Soccer Association) – The 2015 Maryland State ODP season recently concluded with the Region I ODP ID Camps.

The U13-15 boy’s ID Camps were held at Rider University in New Jersey. This is where the top boys’ soccer players from across Region I (Virginia to Main) came to compete for a spot on the Region I ODP training pool for their age group.

During the ID Camp, players were also vying for a spot on the Inter-Regional teams. The Inter-Regional teams for each age group represent the top 17 or 18 players from across the region. Maryland State ODP had 4 players (U13-14) earn this honor and they will be traveling to Casa Grande, Arizona over Thanksgiving to compete against the other three regions in a tournament while being scouted for inclusion in the National Team.

The 1999 Boys who were selected to participate in the upcoming Inter-Regional event in Lakewood Ranch, Florida later this fall are as follows:

The girls’ ID Camps were held at the University of Rhode Island. This is where the top girls’ soccer players from across Region I (Virginia to Main) came to compete for a spot on the Region I ODP training pool for their age group.

During the ID Camp, players were also vying for a spot on the Inter-Regional teams. The Inter-Regional teams for each age group represent the top 17 or 18 players from across the region. Maryland State ODP had 9 players (U13-17) earn this honor and they will be traveling to Boca Raton, Florida over Thanksgiving to compete against the other three regions in a tournament while being scouted for inclusion in the National Team.
