McLean Youth Soccer hires Keith Tabatznik as Director of Soccer
McLean, Virginia (Via McLean Youth Soccer) – McLean Youth Soccer (MYS) has announced that Keith Tabatznik will join the club in a new role as Director of Soccer.
In this position, Keith will oversee all aspects of the MYS soccer programs from recreational to travel and elite across all boys and girls’ programs and teams. Keith has an outstanding track record as a leader, teacher and developer of young players, manager of coaches. He has an exceptional level of expertise in soccer strategy and tactics. Keith is also well-known and well-respected in the mid-Atlantic region and U.S. Soccer.
Keith currently serves as the US Youth Soccer Region I Olympic Development Program Head Coach, a position he has held for 6 years after serving as assistant coach for 3 years. Earlier in his career, Keith guided the Georgetown University men’s soccer team to national prominence during 22 years as head coach, finishing with 220 wins under his belt. Keith is Georgetown’s all-time winningest soccer coach and ended amongst the top 35 active collegiate coaches in wins. Twelve Hoyas players who played for Tabatznik were placed in the professional ranks.
Keith has served as an analyst on Fox Soccer Channel for the NSCAA college games of the week as well as guest commentator for Comcast Sports and DC United pre- and post-game shows. He holds a USSF “A” Coaching License and serves as a member of the United States National Coaching Education Staff, and in 2011 he was inducted into the Virginia/DC Soccer Hall of Fame. Keith grew up in Baltimore and had a very successful career playing collegiate soccer at American University.

In his new role, Keith will be responsible for the development and implementation of the MYS youth soccer curriculum; for the recruitment, management, development and assessment of all MYS professional soccer staff; and for the development of new programs and initiatives to ensure MYS continued soccer excellence. He will start in his new role with MYS in March.
