McLean Youth Soccer appoints two new Age Group Directors

(Via McLean Youth Soccer) – McLean Youth Soccer has appointed Jamil Walker as the club’s new U13-U19 Boys Age Group Director, and named Jamil Faryadi as U8-U12 Boys Age Group Director.

Walker has been a member of the MYS coaching staff since 2008 with a proven record of excellence in the club and beyond. Walker played collegiality at Santa Clara University and upon graduation, was drafted by the San Jose Earthquakes in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft. In 2005, Walker was traded to D.C. United where he played until 2007.

Walker’s success with the MYS 01B Hotspur includes three US Youth Soccer National Championship appearances (2015, 2016, 2017), capturing the title of champions in 2016, as well as several US Youth Soccer Region I Championship appearances and State Cup champion titles. In 2014, Walker was honored by the National Soccer Coaches of America as the NSCAA Youth Boys Coach of the Year. He holds a U.S. Soccer A coaching license.

Faryadi has been a member of the MYS coaching staff since 2003 and has served the club in numerous capacities throughout the years. Faryadi holds a U.S. Soccer B coaching license and is work toward his U.S. Soccer A coaching license, which he hopes to complete by the end of the year.
