Mizzou signs 5 recruits, including trio from 2-time ECNL national champion SLSG Navy
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Soccer Head Coach Stefanie Golan announced the signing of five newcomers to the program for the Class of 2024. The incoming freshmen hail from Missouri, Texas and Michigan.
“The staff has worked tirelessly to bring in a class that would elevate both the overall athleticism of our group as well as the soccer savviness. This group is going to do just that as well as increase the competitiveness within the group. We are excited to add these five women to our program,” said Coach Golan on the 2023 signing class.

Landis Canada
Forward | Fenton, Mich. | Michigan Hawks | Fenton Senior High School
Landis Canada joins the Missouri Tigers from Fenton, Michigan, where she attended Fenton Senior High School. The forward also played for the Michigan Hawks under Michele Krisnik. The Michigan native achieved first-team ECNL honors and third-team Metro League three times.
Coach Golan on Canada: “Landis adds versatility to our attacking group as she can play in both midfield or up top. She has a tremendous engine and excellent speed, is a threat in the air and has an excellent mindset. We know that she is going to come in to compete and believe that she can grow into an elite player at this level. We are excited she will represent Mizzou.”
Callaway Combs
Center Back/Wingback | Eureka, Mo. | St. Louis Scott Gallagher Navy ECNL | Eureka High School
Callaway Combs comes to Columbia from Eureka, Mo., where she attended Eureka High School. The defender played for her high school team and was named captain her sophomore through senior years under Gary Schneider and Anna Voigt. Combs achieved many postseason accolades, earning all-conference honors three times and all-region her sophomore year. Additionally, she was an all-state honorable mention her sophomore season and earned the conference sportsmanship award. Furthermore, the defender was given the Varsity Soccer Leadership Award her junior year.
Combs also played club soccer for St. Louis Scott Gallagher, winning four ECNL conference championships with undefeated seasons in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Moreover, she helped her club to back-to-back undefeated National Championships in 2022 and 2023.
Golan on Combs: “Callaway has the athleticism to compete at this level and has shown versatility as a player, playing multiple roles for the back-to-back ECNL National Champions. She is going to add depth to our back line as someone who could play centrally or out wide, and she is a competitor. We love her potential and look forward to having her represent Mizzou.”
Emily Derucki
Forward | Wildwood, Mo. | St. Louis Scott Gallagher Navy ECNL | Lafayette High School
Emily Derucki is joining Mizzou from Wildwood, Mo., where she attended Lafayette High School. The forward played for her high school under Ryan Butchart, where she earned first team all-state, all-district, and all-conference honors and the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest accolade. Derucki also helped her team to a district championship and a third-place finish at state.
Derucki joins teammate Callaway Combs in coming to Mizzou, having also played for SLSG. The Missouri native helped the club to back-to-back National Championships in 2022 and 2023 and four conference championships.
Golan on Derucki: “Emily is an athletic beast who has a tireless work ethic. She is relentless in her defensive pressure and is a serious threat in the attacking third of the field. She can get behind back lines and is one of the grittiest players in the attacking box that we have recruited. She comes from a team that has won back-to-back ECNL National Championships, and she has a winner’s mindset. We are excited to see her compete in a Tiger jersey.”
Mia Devrouax
Forward | Florissant, Mo. | St. Louis Scott Gallagher ECNL Navy | Whitfield School
Mia Devrouax will take a short trip from Florissant, Mo., to come to Mizzou and is the third SLSG player to sign with the Tigers this year. The forward was a part of the four conference championships and the back-to-back national titles. Devrouax also played for Whitfield School, where he is a three-time first-team all-state and all-conference selection. She was also named Player of the Year her sophomore season as her team won the Missouri State Championship and was awarded St. Louis Hall of Fame Future Star.
Golan on Devrouax: “Mia plays with a bit of a chip on her shoulder, which we love. She is feisty on both sides of the ball, attacks well from wide spaces to both create and score opportunities and is another one coming from the back-to-back ECNL National Championship team with a winner’s mindset. We are excited to have her in Black and Gold.”
McKenna Moran
Midfielder | Rowlett, Texas | DKSC | Sachse High School
McKenna Moran will join the Tigers from Rowlett, Texas, where she attended Sachse High School. The midfielder played for her high school team under coach Kristen Campbell, where she was named District 9-6A Co-Offensive Player of the Year and first team all-district.
Moran also played club soccer for DKSC for eight years under coach Hugh Bradford. While there, she was named ECNL second-team all-conference and was invited to the US GNT Central Region Camp in 2020.
Golan on Moran: “McKenna is going to add to our depth in the center of the midfield. She is technically excellent, adds some dynamic elements to the attacking side of the game, and is overall a really intelligent player. We want to be a more dynamic attacking team and McKenna is a player who can help us be that more consistently. We look forward to seeing her in Black and Gold.”
