Mount St. Mary’s women’s soccer signs 9 recruits for class of 2020

Emmitsburg, Md. – The Mount St. Mary’s women’s soccer team has signed nine players as part of this year’s recruiting class.

Maggie Cliggett (Philadelphia, Pa.), Daniella DiBiase (East Hanover, N.J.), Alexa Dragisics (Ellicott City, Md.), Kayley Kocent (Baltimore, Md.), Arden Lembryk (Wayne, N.J.), Kayla Pennington (Wernersville, Pa.), Emma Ryan (Darlington, Md.), Isabella Wendler (Manheim, Pa.) and Liliana Vargas (Lexington, Va.) will enter their rookie seasons with the Mount in the fall of 2020.

“We are thrilled to welcome this year’s signing class. It is a large, diverse group that are all coming from great environments,” said Head Coach Tori Krause. “We feel each one of them will have an immediate impact upon stepping on campus.”

Maggie Cliggett | Midfielder | Philadelphia, Pa. | Archbishop Wood

• Played her club ball with the Philadelphia SC Coppa and FC Bucks ECNL.
• Two-time captain for her high school team and her club team.
• All-League selection.

Daniella DiBiase | Midfielder/Forward | East Hanover, N.J. | DePaul Catholic

• Played her club ball for STA 01/02
• Four-year varsity letter winner and captain her senior year.
• Helped lead DePaul to three Big North United Conference Championships along with two Passaic County Tournament Championships.
• Selected All-Big North in 2017 and 2018, with an All-Passaic County selection in 2018 as well.

Alexa Dragisics | Midfielder/Forward | Ellicott City, Md. | Mount Hebron

• Player her club ball for Pipeline Soccer Club.
• Four-time Maryland State Club Champion as well as two-time 3A East Regional Champion.
• National Club Soccer Finalist with Pipeline SC.

Kayley Kocent | Midfielder/Defender | Baltimore, Md. | Sparrows Point

• Played her club ball for Baltimore Armour Development Academy.
• Named to the Maryland ODP Team.
• 1A State Champion and a State Cup Champion too.
• Member of the National Honors Society.

Arden Lembryk | Goalkeeper | Wayne, N.J. | Wayne Valley

• Played her club ball for PDA ECNL 2002 Blue.
• 2019 ECNL under 17 National Champion.
• Team captain for both Wayne Valley High School and PDA.
• First Team All-League, All-County, and All-State both her junior and senior years.
• Named NJ.com’s top 80 players in the state being the top goalkeeper on that list.

Kayla Pennington | Defender | Wernersville, Pa. | Wilson

• Played her club ball for FC Delco ECNL.
• Team captain for Wilson and nominated for All-County her senior year.
• Member of the National Honors Society.

Emma Ryan | Forward | Darlington, Md. | Harford Technical

• Played her club ball for HFC United Thunder 02.
• Four year varsity starter and team captain her senior year.
• First Team All-County and First Team All-Conference.
• Nominated Baltimore Sun Player to Watch and earned Sports Factory Athlete of the Week.
• Selected for the MDP ODP 02 Team Club.
• State Cup finalist three years in a row.

Isabella Wendler | Forward | Manheim, Pa. | Manheim Central

• Played her club ball for PA Classics Development Academy.
• Named 2018 Winter Development Academy Showcase standout by Top Drawer Soccer.
• Led Manheim Central to two District Championships and to the State quarterfinals.
• Leading goal scorer for the PA Classics during the 2018-2019 season.

Liliana Vargas | Defender | Lexington, Va. | Rockbridge County

• Played her club ball for Rockbridge United.
• Three year varsity letter winner and named team captain her senior year.
• Earned First Team All-Conference and All-Region Honors three times.
• Multisport athlete lettering in swimming three times and one year for basketball.
• Earned Defensive MVP two years in a row for Rockbridge United.
