(Via MSYSA) – The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association has named Flo Egan as its new executive director.

Egan will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of MSYSA, including the Olympic Development Program (ODP), State Cup, Presidents Cup, coaching education and affiliate membership.

“Myself and the board are thrilled beyond words to have Flo Egan as our next executive director,” MSYSA President Mark Cantor said. “Knowing Flo over the past few years, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her and what she does for youth soccer.”

Egan, a New Jersey native, has over 30 years of experience in youth soccer programming at the state, regional and national levels. She has served as an executive board member, State Cup Committee member, ODP Committee member, District commissioner and Area Travel League commissioner for New Jersey Youth Soccer. She has served 20 years on the Region I Championships Committee and is currently the chair. She also was a part of the Girls ODP committee in Region I. Most recently, she served as the East Region Administrator for United States Youth Soccer (US Youth Soccer).

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with MSYSA and learn how Maryland fits in the soccer landscape of the United States,” Egan said. “I am excited to get to know the parents, players, board members and staff members within MSYSA and be able to bring the organization to a new level while moving forward together.”
