Navy men’s soccer announces eight roster additions for class of 2026
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy men’s soccer program and head coach Tim O’Donohue have announced the full class of 2026, as eight plebes will be joining the 2022 roster.
Three forwards, one midfielder, two defenders and a pair of goalkeepers make up Navy’s freshman contingent, bolstering the Midshipmen roster that already included 19 returners from last season.
The eight newcomers are Alex DeVincentis, Robert Eaton, Jalen Grant, Tommy Lockhart, Bryce Robisch, A.J. Schuetz, Andrew Schug and Nate Van Zoeren.
“We are excited about this class,” said O’Donohue. “It’s a group with a lot of talent and I believe the potential to do well in the hall. They will represent Navy Soccer well.”
Navy is coming off a 12-6-1 campaign in 2021, going 5-4 in the Patriot League and advancing to the PL semifinals.
The Mids open the 2022 regular season on Aug. 25 at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility against St. Joseph’s.
Alex DeVincentis | Forward | Jacksonville, Fla. | Ponte Vedra

Robert Eaton | Goalkeeper | Johnson City, Tenn. | Science Hall
Played soccer for three seasons at Science Hill High School … Claimed the conference championship in his freshman, sophomore and senior year … Took home conference goalkeeper of the year twice during his scholastic career, also winning team MVP as a freshman and senior … Spent junior season as a member of the U17 team for the FC Cincinnati Academy program, including one week training with the top FCC team … Was enrolled at Indian Hill High School during his time in Cincinnati … Played on the same high school team as Milligan University soccer player Harper Jennings … Son of BoJb and Wanda Eaton.
Jalen Grant | Defender | Wake Forest, N.C. | Heritage
Spent the 2021-22 academic year at the Hill School, which is a Naval Academy Foundation school … Played prep soccer for Hill, being named to the All-MAPL Team … Attended Heritage High School in Wake Forest, N.C., playing soccer for the Huskies … Named the NAC VI Co-Conference Player of the Year as a senior, also picking up all-conference and first team all-region honors in his final season at Heritage … played club soccer for NCFC and FC Delco … Son of Jermaine Grant … Father was a four-time NCAA All-American track & field athlete at LSU.
Tommy Lockhart | Midfield | Denver, Colo. | D’Evelyn
Attended D’Evelyn High School … Played basketball for two years at D’Evelyn … Member of the Real Colorado Academy soccer club, playing alongside Navy soccer teammate Pierce Holbrook … Son of James and Chrisanna Lockhart … Father played football at then-Western State Colorado University, earning NAIA First Team All-American status in 1989 and twice being named All-RMAC Second Team.
Bryce Robisch | Defender | Katy, Texas | Obra D. Tompkins
Spent the 2021-22 academic year at the Peddie School, which is a Naval Academy Foundation school … Played prep soccer for Peddie and was an All-MAPL selection … Attended Obra D.
