NCAA Division I and Division II extend recruiting dead period through May 31
Committees representing NCAA Division I and Division II have decided to extend the current recruiting dead period through May 31, 2020.
All in-person recruiting will remain banned for Division I and II coaches. The ban includes unofficial and official visits to campus for prospective student-athletes, and all recruiting-based travel of any kind for college coaches.
However, coaches may still communicate via phone, text, email and standard mail with recruits that are eligible for contact.
The initial dead period was announced in mid-March, with an initial tentative end date of April 15.
