NCAA Men’s Top 25: Previously unranked North Carolina Tar Heels rise to No. 18

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches released the association’s college rankings for men’s and women’s soccer in all divisions of NCAA and junior college competition.

Marshall earned the No. 1 spot on the NCAA Division I men’s poll again this week, as they are still perfect through eight games. SMU climbed to No. 2 up from sixth last week. UCF remains in the No. 3 position, while West Virginia and Akron round out the Top 5.

Three teams are featured in the Top 25 this week after previously being unranked: No. 18 North Carolina, No. 23 Seattle and No. 25 Penn State.
