New boys and girls Fall High School Rankings released

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 10, 2019) – United Soccer Coaches and USA Today High School Sports released the latest boys and girls regular season soccer polls in the USA TODAY/United Soccer Coaches Super 25 Fall Rankings. In all, 19 new teams entered the polls this week, 10 on the boys’ side and nine in the girls’ poll.

The top five in the boys’ poll remained the same with St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, N.J. continuing to hold down the top spot and Medina (Medina, Ohio) sitting in the second spot for the second consecutive week. Martin Luther King, Jr. (New York, N.Y.), Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, Ill.), and Marquette University High (Milwaukee, Wis.) round out the boys’ top five for the second week in a row.

Jesuit out of Portland, Ore. pulled away from a tie in last week’s girls’ rankings to stand alone in the number one spot this week. McDonogh School (Owings Mills, Md.) secured the second spot in this week’s poll with a 2-0 record, while Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, Ind.) stayed put in the No. 3 spot. Eastern (Voorhees Township, N.J.) jumped into the No. 4 ranking this week with Winchester (Winchester, Mass.) making their way into the girls’ top five from their previous No. 9 ranking.
