TINTON FALLS, N.J. (Via US Club Soccer) – Twenty-eight champions emerged from the 974 total participating teams of the 2018 New Jersey Cup, after the championship games were held this past Sunday at the Capelli Sport Complex. In the tournament that gathered the second-highest number of participating teams in New Jersey Cup history, 10 teams earned qualification to the National Cup XVII Mid-Atlantic Regional after winning their respective Premier Groups, while the 10 Super Group champions qualified directly to the National Cup XVII Finals.

The Super Group and Premier Group format allowed for two divisions of 13-U through 17-U boys and girls age groups. There were also brackets for 10-U, 11-U, 12-U and 18/19-U boys and girls. This past weekend was the culmination of months of hard work for these players, after the tournament preliminary rounds kicked-off in March.

Eight teams from the PDA umbrella won their respective divisions. Three other clubs won multiple brackets: STA (3), Ironbound SC (2) and SJEB (2).
