New No. 1 club takes over in Development Player League (DPL) Rankings
LOS ANGELES, CA – The Development Player League (DPL) has released a new set of club rankings following a busy month of January, which saw teams from across the league take part in the DPL Florida Event.
Cross-conference competition featured at #DPLFL22 in Palm Beach gave a new perspective to the latest rankings, as teams had the opportunity to face opponents from outside of their respective conferences.
In this month’s rankings, Mississippi Rush has secured the No. 1 spot after finishing 2021 as the No. 2 ranked club. Their continued success in pushing up the league standings carried them through to the top position.
Moves were made in Palm Beach, the perfect backdrop for teams to thrive, with the biggest splash being made by Sunrise SC. Their impressive brand of soccer at each age group was epitomized by the 2009 squad, which had a perfect showing over three games, with 14 goals and only 2 goals conceded.

Syracuse DA landed with a splash in Florida as well. With league play slow to commence in the older age groups locally, all eyes were on them in the National Event. They didn’t disappoint, with an overall record of 11-2-2. The ’08, ’07 and ’06 teams all went 3-0 against quality opponents.
