New Spring High School Rankings unveiled (Boys and Girls)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Via United Soccer Coaches) – United Soccer Coaches and USA TODAY High School Sports released today the new regular season regional and national polls in the USA TODAY/United Soccer Coaches Super 25 Rankings for boys and girls high school soccer in the spring season.

A new team takes over the top spot in the girls poll, while the boys’ No. 1 team remains the same. Fourteen new teams entered the polls this week.

Dalton High School in Dalton, Ga. continues to sit atop the boys’ poll with an 18-0-0 record. Jenks (Jenks, Okla.) moved up one spot to No. 2 with a 14-0-0 mark. They are followed by Kearney (Kearney, Neb.) in third and Mills Godwin (Richmond, Va.) at No. 4. Three teams sit in a tie for fifth in the rankings, Hillgrove (Powder Springs, Ga.), Lambert (Suwanee, Ga.) and Omaha South (Omaha, Neb.).

Lambert (Suwanee, Ga.) took over the top spot in the girls poll with a perfect 19-0-0 mark after being second last week. Former No. 1 Leesville Road from Raleigh, N.C. dropped one spot to No. 2 with a 17-0-1 record. St. Charles North (St. Charles, Ill.) stayed put at No. 3 this week, while St. Dominic (O’Fallon, Mo.) and Vestavia Hills (Vestavia Hills, Ala.) round out the top five in the girls poll.

The next set of regular season regional and national rankings for the spring season will be released next Tuesday, May 7.
