HARRISON, N.J. (Via New York Red Bulls) – The New York Red Bulls hosted the Second Annual Youth Club Summit at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, March 18.

The Summit served as an educational experience for local youth clubs to gain more information on current youth topics, share ideas and best practices with other club partners.

“The focus of this year’s summit centered around developing a strong club infrastructure,” Sr. Director of Red Bulls Training Programs Dave Jervis said. “Our goal was to touch on some of the key elements that help create the foundation for a successful youth soccer organization. From culture to technology to curriculums, there are some core characteristics that successful companies do well and we wanted to use this year’s club summit to share a range of ideas.”

The event also provided club members the opportunity to hear from keynote speakers, including Sarah McQuade of e.t.c. Coaching Consultants, who shared key components to Shaping Club Culture. Jeremy Goldberg, President of League Apps, also teamed up with Logan Smith, the New York Red Bulls’ Sr. Manager, Strategy & Analytics, to present best practices of Building a Modern Soccer Club.

Additional topics included Best Practices in Board Structure, presented by Jerome Vivona of New York Red Bulls, and Aligning your Club with Red Bulls Red Print, delivered by Grant Findlay and Thomas Moriarty of New York Red Bulls Training Programs.

Finally, the event concluded with a panel discussion featuring Rick Meana, Director of Coach Education for New Jersey Youth Soccer, Ruben Vloedgraven, Director of Coaching for Westfield Soccer Association, Tim Bradbury, Director of Coaching for Eastern New York Soccer Association, and Jeremy Vivona from Red Bulls Training Programs, who fielded questions about recent changes in the youth soccer landscape.
