NJIT adds Valparaiso transfer Gabby Zalot to signing class

NEWARK, N.J. – NJIT women’s soccer head coach Ally Nick has announced the addition of transfer Gabby Zalot to the Highlander program.

Zalot joins NJIT after one season with Valparaiso. She is an FC Bucks ECNL alum.

“We are very excited to add Gabby to our program this Fall. Her vision on the field and ability to cover ground will add to our midfield. Her work rate and mentality matches our program’s, which is why we know she will be a great fit and look forward to her potential,” Nick said of Zalot.

Prior to NJIT: As a freshman at Valparaiso in 2020 (season played in Spring 2021 due to COVID-19), Zalot saw action in a pair of games for a Valpo team that made a run to the Missouri Valley Conference championship game…A three-time All-League selection for Pennsbury High School…helped lead side to four league championships and a district title…Pennsbury also made two appearances in the Pennsylvania 4A state tournament…earned a spot in a senior All-Star game…played club for FC Bucks 2002 ECNL…has been an ECNL PDP selection.

Personal: Gabriella Rose Zalot…daughter of Amy and John Zalot…intends on majoring in Law, Technology, and Culture.
