No. 1 seed Georgetown set to host Big East men’s soccer championship
NEW YORK – The bracket and host site for the BIG EAST Men’s Soccer Championship has been solidified.

The Hoyas earned the overall No. 1 seed after defeating St. John’s, 1-0 on Saturday. Dante Polvara scored the lone goal of the match in the 39th minute. Also a No. 1 seed is Marquette, which earned the highest winning percentage in the Midwest Division with a 5-1-1 record (.786).
No. 1 Georgetown will play the Midwest No. 2 seed Creighton on Thursday, April 15 at noon ET in the first semifinal of the BIG EAST Men’s Soccer Championship. No. 1 Marquette will play the East No. 2 seed Seton Hall in the second semifinal at 3:30 p.m. Both games will air on the BIG EAST Digital Network Presented by SoFi.
The semifinal winners will meet on Saturday, April 17 at 3 p.m. ET on FS2.
All three games will be played at Georgetown’s Shaw Field. Georgetown has hosted and won the last three BIG EAST men’s soccer championship games.
Creighton finished tied for second in the Midwest with a final record of 5-3-0 (.625). Butler defeated Creighton on Saturday, 3-2, in Indianapolis and finished with the same winning percentage and a 4-2-2 record. Creighton had defeated Butler in their earlier meeting, 4-2, on March 17. Creighton clinched the championship berth because of a better record against No. 1 seed Marquette. The Bluejays split with the Golden Eagles at 1-1-0, but Butler went 0-1-1 against Marquette.
Seton Hall finished 5-1-2 in the East with a .750 winning percentage. Seton Hall’s last match was on March 27.
