RICHMOND, VA (Via ECNL) – The Elite Clubs National League has announced that Northern California powerhouse Davis Legacy will be joining the ECNL beginning in the 2017-2018 ECNL Season as a new member club. The ECNL will be the only national league in which the club will compete, and the focal point of its competitive efforts.

Davis Legacy set a new standard in the 2015-2016 season with a number of top place finishes in the NorCal Premier League. The club sent 4 teams to US Club Soccer’s National Premier League Finals, with the U18 girls being crowned NPL National Champions.

Davis Legacy has a long history of player development, sending many players on to play at the collegiate level, with over 20 girls already committed to play in college in the club currently. Davis Legacy’s coaching staff are dedicated to continued education and broadening their soccer expertise.

“We are very excited to bring a club of the stature of Davis Legacy into the ECNL for next season,” said President Christian Lavers. “The club has consistently developed top level female players through their long-term development approach, and their leadership is totally aligned philosophically with the ECNL platform and mission.”

“We feel that the ECNL model will provide the perfect platform for what we are looking for in terms of player development, level of competition, and college exposure,” said Davis Legacy Executive Director Ashley Yudin. “We are extremely excited and proud that that our club has been recognized and look forward to becoming part of a terrific organization.”

Davis Legacy will begin formal competition in the ECNL in August 2017. Additional new clubs will be announced in the ECNL in the coming months.
