Northwestern University introduces first two members of recruiting class

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern University women’s soccer coach Michael Moynihan announce the first two members of the Class of 2025, who will join the Wildcats ahead of the 2021-22 academic year.

The two members of what is expected to be a six-person class are Kelsey Kwon and Emma Phillips.

“While we cannot announce our full class due to difficulties associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, Emma and Kelsey are both part of a strong recruiting class that will complement our returning players well,” Moynihan said. “Emma is an experienced defender that has participated in US Youth National Camps – she is very strong in the air and brings a commanding presence that should help her grow into a leader. Kelsey is a creative attacking midfielder that excels technically and posseses great vision. I believe she can create chances at a productive rate to help us be even more dangerous in the final third.”
