Old Dominion University women’s soccer announces 2020 team captains

NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University women’s soccer head coach, Angie Hind, named Allie Brimmer (Severn, Md.), Emma Gervase (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Emily Roberts (Severn, Md.) team captains for the upcoming 2020 season.

“I am thrilled to have Allie, Emma and Emily lead our team this year,” explained Hind. “Each of them have great individual qualities that compliment the culture and identity of our team. Together they represent all that is important for us and I believe, in what looks to be a challenging year ahead, they will bring our team even closer together and towards new successes. I am proud and excited for them to be announced as our 2020 captains.”

Brimmer, a redshirt junior, appeared in all 18 matches for the Monarchs last season, while scoring two game-winners.

Gervase, a senior, dished out four assists for the 2019 season, which was tied for second most on the squad.

Roberts, a senior, is a two-time All-League honoree and has also named to the C-USA All-Academic Team. Roberts was also a team captain in 2019.
