Over 1,700 teams earn acceptance for 2024 Jefferson Cup

Richmond, Va. – More than 1,700 teams have been accepted to compete in the 2024 Jefferson Cup, which will feature four weeks of high-level competition from across the youth soccer landscape.
Brackets are now available for the U9-U19 divisions for both the boys and girls divisions. The competition will start on March 2-3 with the Boys U9-U14 Weekend, followed by the Girls U9-U14 Weekend on March 9-10.
After the younger age groups wrap up play, the Showcase portion of the competition will kick into high gear with the U15-U19 Girls Showcase Weekend on March 15-17. The 2024 Jefferson Cup will wrap up with the U15-U19 Boys Showcase Weekend on March 22-24. Each weekend of the tournament will feature over 400 teams.
Teams accepted into this year’s tournament play at the highest levels in multiple leagues across the country including the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), Girls Academy, MLS Next, National Academy League, Player Development League, US Youth Soccer National League, and US Club Soccer National Premier Leagues (NPL), among others.
As it has in year’s past, the 2024 Jefferson Cup will also feature teams from across the United States. Thirty-one states will have teams playing in this year’s competition: Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Multiple countries will also be attending this year’s event, with 21 teams coming from Canada, Inter Milan Academy from Italy, and City FC from Trinidad and Tobago.
In addition to the hundreds of college coaches that will be attendance each Showcase weekend, players graduating between 2024-2026 will also have the opportunity to participate Player Combines.
