Players to Watch: ECNL Girls Florida National Event (Spring 2025)

The ECNL Girls Florida National Event is coming up February 28 – March 2 as top teams from the Sunshine State and beyond will go head-to-head in Lakewood Ranch, FL.

ECNL Florida will feature 47 ECNL teams and 157 ECNL Regional League teams across the U15-U18/19 age groups. (COLLEGE COACHES)

Ahead of ECNL Florida, here are some players to know for the tournament, from both the ECNL National and ECNL Regional League teams. Players are listed according to their graduation year.

2028

Maria Kartes

Forward Midfielder
FL

An up-and-coming attacking player for Tampa Bay United, Kartes has a knack for making the right run at just the right time, often linking up with her teammates on perfectly-timed passes to break lines and score goals. Kartes is no stranger to playing against top competition, even getting on the field at the MLS NEXT level with TBU’s boys program.

Florencia Caceres

Midfielder
FL

Caceres thrives in the defensive midfield for Florida Kraze Krush 09 and for the Paraguay U17 Women’s National Team. She’s a balanced player, leading the team in interceptions and tackles while also serving an important role in the possession game with her high-level passing accuracy.

Kinsley Wooles

A talented center back and team captain for Tampa Bay United 2010, Wooles stands out in large part thanks to her elite technical skills, fitness level and leadership. Her success on the field with TBU has led to her getting valuable experience in US Club Soccer’s id2 program, as well as U.S. Soccer’s Talent ID program.

A fast-ascending Class of 2028 defender for Florida Kraze Krush 09, Cagle earned First Team All-ECNL Southeast Conference honors during the 2023-24 campaign. Cagles and the Krush 09s have been solid once again this season, posting clean sheets in 3 of their last 7 ECNL league games.

Bridget Kopmeyer | Midfielder
Internationals SC 09 (OH)

Kopmeyer is one of the top prospects in the entire country for the Class of 2028. She recently earned a call-up for the first U.S. U-16 Girls National Team training camp of 2025, after securing ECNL All-American honors last season with Internationals SC. Kopmeyer is a dominant midfielder with virtually no holes in her game.

Jacksonville FC ECNL RL 09 (FL)

A rising technical, tactical midfielder who plays comfortably on the ball and has superb passing accuracy. She is dynamic on both feet and creative in tight spaces. A starting freshman for her High School Varsity 7A team at Atlantic Coast.

Emily Baird

A team captain for Florida Premier 09, Baird is an All-ECNL Southeast Conference goalkeeper with a strong all-around skillset. Baird is always quick on her feet and covers the entire goal, utilizing her long arms and high level of athleticism to make big saves. Sadie Zelnick

A versatile player who has been steadily gaining steam over the past couple seasons, Zelnick is a consistent contributor for both FC Prime ECNL 08 and for her Miami area high school squad, University School. Zelnick is a dynamic offensive player who can finish in creative ways, always seeming to come up with big goals when it matters most. She’s always an outstanding passer who can rack up assists with ease.

Kensington is a dynamic and versatile athlete for the Real Colorado 09 National Team. Known for her speed, agility, and precision passing, she thrives in multiple positions, excelling as an outside back, midfielder, and winger. Her adaptability and team-first mentality make her an invaluable asset on the field. She has earned notable accolades that include most recently being a 2024 ECNL Conference Cup participant, and a member of the 2024 ECNL Texas All-Conference First Team.

Abbey Kuritz

Abbey has helped her Coastal Rush 08 ECNL Regional League team get off to a strong start this season, winning 9 of their first 10 games. She is an accurate and precise passer with solid anticipation skills. She has a knack for creating scoring chances for herself and teammates, and thrives at multiple positions on the field.

Chloe Isaacs

Isaacs is a left-footed defender who plays center back and outside back for Florida Premier FC’s 2009 ECNL squad. She brings speed and physicality to the back line, often cutting off dribbling and passing lanes well before they can get deep into the attacking third. She also excels for Berkeley Preparatory School’s varsity team.

Colorado Rapids 09 (CO)

The First Team All-ECNL Texas Conference attacker is regarded as one of the best passers anywhere in the country for the 2009 age group. Her field vision and creativity make her a dangerous player, even in tight spaces with little room to operate. Real Colorado National 09 (CO)

Representing a renowned Real Colorado National 09 squad, O’Connor is a key playmaker in the midfield who’s coming off a First Team All-ECNL Texas Conference selection last season. O’Conner has previously been selected as a top player in US Club Soccer’s id2 program from the West Region, and earned a spot on the US Youth Soccer ODP National Team in 2023.

Kellyn Miller | Midfielder
Internationals SC 09 (OH)

One of the 2027 graduating class’s top-rated midfielders, Kellyn is an exciting prospect that shows versatility in her play with strong technical skills, keen vision, solid defensive nature and complimentary speed, size and grit. Kellyn has helped lead her ISC squad to an ECNL Ohio Valley Conference championship three-peat. Coming off of a strong 2023-24 season where she earned First Team ECNL All-Conference honors and served as Captain for her high school squad, Kellyn is certainly a player to watch this spring.

Tampa Bay United 09 (FL)

Miller is a left-foot dominant forward that also has the ability to play outside back, where she stands out with her high-end speed. In addition to her strong contributions for Tampa Bay United, she’s an East County Observer Player To Watch at Braden River High School in Bradenton, FL.

Bianca Raskin

Midfielder Defender

A James Madison University verbal commit, Raskin is well-established as one of Florida’s best Class of 2026 midfielders. Raskin excels for FC Prime 08 as both an attacking-minded center midfielder and as a tough defensive midfielder. Last season, she was selected to participate in the prestigious ECNL Conference Cup, and she earned All-ECNL Southeast Conference honors.

Madison McKeon

Forward
FL

An Uncommitted Class of 2026 forward for Florida West 06/07, McKeon is coming off an impressive performance at the January 2025 ECNL Florida National Event. At the last Florida showcase, McKeon played on the flank where she was extremely active, making some great passes in the attacking third and applying some effective high pressure on the defensive side.

Hannah Busenbark

Midfielder
FL

Verbally committed to Eastern Kentucky University, Hannah has been a big contributor to the Tampa Bay United 08 offense. She recently scored four goals in the ECNL Florida Winter Showcase, and has also dominated the Florida high school scene. She leads classes 2A-7A in goals and is third in the state. Hannah ended her junior high school season leading her team to the state semifinals, where she scored her 57th goal of the season.

Paige Bundy | Defender
Real Colorado National 08 (CO)

A highly-rated defender who has verbally committed to Belmont University for the Class of 2026, Bundy has a history of impressive accolades, including ECNL All-American and All-Conference awards of over the past few seasons. Real Colorado National 08 is having another stellar season this year, thanks in large part to Bundy and their dominant back line.

2025

The future University of Louisville defender is a three-time ECNL Ohio Valley All-Conference selection. Bard serves as team captain for the Internationals SC 06/07 squad, anchoring the back line from her center back position. She’s a weapon on the offensive side as well, often starting runs out of the back and creating effective counterattacks.

Madison Haney | Goalkeeper
Orlando City Seminole ECNL RL 06/07 (FL)

Madison is a dynamic goalkeeper known for her shot-stopping ability, strong footwork, and excellent on-field communication. After tearing her ACL and missing her sophomore season and half of her junior year, she has returned stronger, earning First Team All-Conference honors as a senior and achieving three shutouts in her final high school season. Her relentless work ethic, positive attitude, and continuous growth make her a standout leader on the field.
