Players to Watch: ECNL Girls Regional League Florida Event (Winter 2025)

The ECNL Girls Regional League Florida Event is coming up January 10-12 as 170 teams from around the country will go head-to-head in Sanford, FL.

ECNL RL Florida will be the first ECNL Regional League Event of the 2025 calendar year, a college recruiting ramps back up following the dead period. Teams from the U17 and U18/19 age groups will be competing in the showcase. (COLLEGE COACHES)

Elizabeth Steele | Defender
Pittsburgh Riverhounds Academy 08 (PA)

Ended her freshman season with Central Catholic High School with 16 goals and 15 assists. She was First Team All-Region and All-State Honorable Mention. Steele is an ambidextrous offensive talent who can score with both her left and right foot. Her scoring ability has been on full display through the first few games of the ECNL RL season.

Kaiden O’Neill | Forward / Winger
FC Prime 08 (FL)

A dynamic attacking player for FC Prime 08, O’Neill was named as an All-ECNL Regional League player at the U16 level for the 2023-24 season. This year, she has picked up right where she left off, consistently beating opposing defenses and often bagging multi-goal performances for an FC Prime attack which has 25 total goals through 8 games. Katelyn Ensley | Defender
United Futbol Academy 08 (GA)

Ensley is a well-rounded defender who can line up at center back or on the outside, who earned All-ECNL RL honors in the 2023-24 campaign. She’s established herself as one of the top contributors for a United Futbol Academy 08 back line which has conceded less than a goal per game this season, as they sit in 2nd place in the Southeast Regional League with a 9-1-4 record.

Carly Bramwell | Forward
United Futbol Academy 07/06 (GA)

One of the top scorers in the ECNL Southeast Regional League, Bramwell was honored as a First Team All-ECNL RL selection once again last season. United Futbol Academy 07/06 is once again a force in the league this year, climbing to the top of the table (10-3-1) behind a prolific attacking unit which has racked up 38 goals. Bramwell has also earned All-Region honors at the high school level as a standout striker for South Forsyth High.

Piper Lily Battaglia | Defender
FC Prime 08 (FL)

The All-ECNL Florida Regional League defender and St. Thomas Aquinas High School varsity player is in top form once again this season, shining on the back line. Battaglia and her teammates have limited opposing offenses to 10 goals in 8 games this season, as they’ve gone 7-1-0 and vaulted up to 2nd in the ECNL RL South Florida table.

AvaLee Pomper | Midfielder
Nationals 08 Gray (MI)

An accomplished player with experience in the Girls Academy, Pomper earned multiple GA Talent ID Event call-ups in previous seasons with Nationals SC. With the club having moved from the GA to the ECNL, the Saginaw Valley State University commit is off to a strong start in her ECNL RL career. Pomper is a creative midfielder who covers a ton of ground and displays a high level in creativity in her playmaking skills.

Madeline Baehr | Midfielder
Florida Premier FC 08 (FL)

Enters the showcase in top form as she currently leads Florida Premier FC 08 in total points, while also leading Braden River High School’s attack as well. Baehr has led Braden River to an undefeated start to the season, and was recently named one of the top 10 athletes to watch in the East County, FL high school sports scene.

Sophia Barresi | Defender
New Jersey Crush FC 08 (NJ)

A tough center back who was named as an All-ECNL Regional League player for the 2024 season. Barresi is both the anchor of the NJ Crush 08 back line as well as a scoring threat on the attacking side, especially on set pieces. On the high school side, she’s a 3-time First Team All-Division honoree with Bayonne High School.
