Players to Watch: ECNL Girls St. Louis National Event (Winter 2024)
The ECNL Girls St. Louis National Event is coming up December 12-15 as top teams from around the country will go head-to-head in a major showcase.
ECNL St. Louis will be the first ECNL National Event following the conclusion of the 2024 NCAA women’s soccer season, as college recruiting season enters full swing. A total of 246 teams across the U15-U18/19 age groups will be competing in the showcase. (COLLEGE COACHES)

2028
Maddie is a dominating midfielder for Dallas Texans 09 ECNL, who has proven to be one of the best technical players in the age group. She is strong on the ball, creative and unselfish. The First Team ECNL Texas Conference honoree leads her Texans side in scoring and has provided an equal number of assists.
Tingley was one of the top performers in last year’s ECNL Girls Playoffs for a high-achieving Concord Fire Platinum ’09 squad. The 2028 winger is an efficient finisher with dynamic attacking qualities. She earned a roster spot for an East Region USWYNT Mini Camp in 2023, in addition to multiple U.S Soccer Talent ID Centers.
As the team captain and left back for the Dallas Texans 10 ECNL, Olivia Leddy leads by example with her tactical awareness, quick decision-making, and relentless work ethic. A cornerstone of the Texans’ back line, she excels at reading the game and shutting down opposing attackers. Olivia’s speed and agility enable her to transition seamlessly between defense and attack, often sparking opportunities with precise passes and overlapping runs.

Quinn Sansone | Midfielder
Eclipse Select SC ’09 (IL)
In her first year with Eclipse Select SC in the ECNL (previously played for IMG Academy and for Georgia-based club GSA), Sansone has turned into an impact leader on a squad that reached the ECNL Final Four last season. As a versatile central midfielder, she is leading her team in steals, creating chances, pass percentage completion, and is at the top of the team leader board in total points. Sansone recently scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory vs. Real Colorado in the Phoenix ECNL Showcase.

Ellie Covington | Defender
Portland Thorns Academy ECNL ’09 (OR)
Garnered First Team ECNL All-Conference honors in the Northwest last season at the U15 level, shining throughout the year as she anchored the Portland Thorns Academy ’09 defense. Covington has the speed to keep up with the top attacking players in the nation, and has proven to be a weapon from her center back position, quickly starting counter attacks after forcing turnovers.

Cassandra Travers | Defender
Bay Area Surf ’09 (CA)
The younger sister of USWYNT standout Jocelyn Travers, Cassandra is carving her own path as one of the country’s premier Class of 2028 prospects. Cassandra recently participated in U.S. U-15 Women’s Youth National Team training camp, as one of eight defenders named to the roster. She has helped Bay Area Surf ’09 get off to a strong start in ECNL action this season, highlighting a defensive unit which is conceding less than a goal per game.

Lexie Kilmon | Midfielder
South Carolina United ’10 (SC)
In her 3rd season with South Carolina United ’10, Kilmon has played primarily at outside back to start the season, stopping the attack and turning over the ball in 1v1 scenarios. She also plays winger, and is a threat in the channel, taking on opponents head-to-head and breaking lines.

Mary Mac Brown | Midfielder
Atlanta Fire United ’09 (GA)
Brown finished the last ECNL season as First Team All-Conference, banking 18 goals and 11 assists while helping her team secure a spot in the ECNL National Finals. This season, she currently has 7 goals (2nd on team) and 9 assists (1st on team) as Atlanta Fire United battles for one of the top spots in the Southeast.
2027
The talented defender anchors a Crossfire Premier back line which has completely dominated the ECNL’s Northwest Conference in recent years. Deal’s toughness, speed, strength and sophisticated overall game has put her on the national radar, getting her selected for the ECNL Conference Cup and U.S. Soccer’s West Regional ID Camp.
Representing the 2023 ECNL National Champion PDA Legacy Blue ’09 squad, Lee spent the fall season dominating at the high school level for The Baldwin School, piling up 26 goals. She’ll kickoff the ECNL season in St. Louis looking to remain in top form, as college coaches begin to turn their attention to the Class of 2027. (SCHEDULE)
Kayla is a versatile player for PDA South ’09. Although primarily a left winger, she also plays right back, left back, midfielder and striker. A two year player on the Manalapan High School varsity team, she finished out her HS season with 11 goals and 8 assists. An exceptional athlete, she has played full 80 minute games for both her HS and PDA team, and during her HS sectional finals, she competed a full 100 minutes. In 2022, she was invited to a USWYNT ID Camp.
As she approaches her active recruiting window, Newman will on the radar for some top-level college programs evaluating the Class of 2027 in St. Louis. She’s received ECNL All-Conference accolades in the Mid-Atlantic and has been called up to a U.S. Women’s Youth National Team camp, as a dynamic attacking player with outstanding abilities working in tight spaces and making the most of each scoring opportunity. In her 1st year with Arlington Soccer ECNL ’08, Alice has shown to be an impact player. She is a versatile player, playing left and right wings along with the No. 9 position showing speed, the ability to play in tight spaces and great movement on and off the ball, creating scoring opportunities for her and her teammates. For her Riverbend High School team, she played every minute at the No. 10 position, receiving All-Region honors as a freshman.
After a First Team ECNL All-Conference selection in the NorCal Conference this past season and a recent call up to the U.S. U-16 Women’s Youth National Team training camp, Rhea is a premier forward to watch in her class. She has helped the San Juan offense get off to a successful start in their undefeated start to the season, netting 18 goals so far this fall.
Jordan Reigrod
Reigrod, PDA Legacy’s two-time national championship goalkeeper, spent her fall season starting in goal for the #1 girls high school team in the country at Rutgers Prep. Prior to starting her high school season, PDA Legacy won the Nike Premier Cup, beating out teams representing countries from all over the world. Reigrod was awarded the Golden Glove award after making 2 critical saves in penalty kick shootout in the final match.
Malace is a standout defender as both an outside back and center back. Her consistent tactical awareness, precise passing to create offensive scoring attacks, and her strong 1v1 abilities are just some of the many attributes that contributes to her being one to watch from the Class of 2027. Malace and her Fairfax Virginia Union ’09 teammates are already in top form, coming off two clean sheet wins in their most recent showcase.
Coming off a fantastic showing at the ECNL Phoenix Showcase where she competed in the National Selection Game, Savannah has continued to dominate in ECNL league play, with her precision passing accuracy and ability to finish from anywhere on the pitch. Leifried is coming off a call-up to the U.S. U-17 Women’s Youth National Team.

Jacy Hackler | Forward
KC Athletics ’09 (MO)
Hackler is the type of center forward that opposing defenses dread going up against. She constantly wreaks havoc with her game-breaking speed and aggressive runs, creative passes and finishing ability from tough angles. Hackler was called up to U.S. U-16 Women’s Youth National Team training camp in November, as her standout play for KC Athletics ’09 has made her one of the top Class of 2027 prospects in the entire country. Julia Amireh | Midfielder
NC Courage Academy ’08 (NC)
Julia was named to the 2024 ECNL Mid Atlantic All-Conference First Team. She was also featured in SoccerWire’s Players That Impressed: ECNL Girls 2024 National Playoffs article, after an outstanding postseason performance. This season, Julia’s team is undefeated in the ECNL Mid-Atlantic Conference, as she’s scored 8 goals and assisted 5 more in 12 games.
2026
Dowdle is coming into the event with a lot of momentum from ECNL league play in Texas. She has scored twice this season already as an outside back and seen her share of assists. The uncommitted 2026 outside back – previously withdrew commitment from Oregon due to coaching change – has drawn significant interest from top level college programs.
One of the top-rated player in the Mid-Atlantic Region, Bradley is coming off an ECNL All-Conference First Team selection in the 2023-24 season. The attacking standout has earned call-ups to the Philippines U17 Women’s National Team, and has verbally committed to play college soccer for Xavier.
Hayes shined on the back line last season for Sting Dallas Royal ECNL ’08, as the team earned clean sheets in 50% of the games she played in. She’s a speedy defender (has been clocked at 17.6 MPH) who plays both center back and outside back, and has a knack for driving the ball up the field to create runs for the Sting attack. She’s a 4.0 GPA student and has been a strong player for Byron Nelson High School since her freshman year.
Overbaugh is a versatile defender who possesses top-end speed which allows her to shut down opposing offenses, and quickly flip the field into attack mode for Northern Virginia Alliance. The Class of 2026 standout has garnered national attention, as she’s been named to the roster for the ECNL St. Louis National Selection Game.
Audrey’s ability to cover ground makes her a true box to box midfielder, who can connect the defensive third to middle third of the field. She will be representing the Midwest Region in US Youth Soccer ODP action this coming January at the ODP Interregional in Florida.
Smooth, attacking midfielder with a high soccer IQ and high passing accuracy. Sabet earned First Team All-Ohio (D2) Award, First Team All District (D2) and First Team All Suburban National Conference for the 2024 High School season. She’s verbally committed to play for Purdue University – Fort Wayne in 2026.

Christina Festa | Midfielder
World Class FC ’08 (NY)
Recently received 2023-24 ECNL New England All-Conference Second Team recognition. She was selected as a captain of her high school team and received All-State and All-County recognition at the end of the season. The uncommitted midfielder has received high praise from college scouts for her ball handling and movement on/off the ball.

Natalia Ortiz | Defender
Las Vegas Heat Surf ’08 (NV)
Ortiz made the U20/U17 Pool for the Dominican Republic National Team and has had a very productive year at multiple college ID camps and in ECNL action. Her speed, game awareness and aggressiveness stood out as a defender playing up in the 2006/2007 bracket at the Surf College Cup with multiple goal stops, steals and interceptions.

Alexa Lee | Midfielder
PDA Wildfire Blue ’08 (NJ)
Lee came up big for her Rutgers Prep High School team once again this season as they finished No. 1 in the nation for a third straight year. She accumulate a season-high 25 assists, brining her career total to a remarkable 53, in three seasons. She was one of six players on her team voted All State by the NJ High School Girls Coaches Association. As a team captain for PDA Blue, she plays both outside back and center midfielder. Lee was named to the ECNL’s U16 North Atlantic First Team last season and was selected to the 2024 ECNL Conference Cup roster.
2025
Recently finished with 10 clean sheets this year for high school soccer, WCAC Champion and State Finalist St. Paul VI. She was named as an All-WCAC Honorable Mention. Team ranked #4 in the Washington Area. For Club, came off a fresh win against Richmond United 06/07 ECNL 4-0 and a tie against a tough VDA 06/07 ECNL squad, 1-1.
