Players To Watch: Girls Academy 2023-2024 Frontier Conference
The Girls Academy 2023-2024 season is officially underway, with clubs from across the United States kicking off league play this fall.
To help preview the competition, SoccerWire will be providing Players To Watch from across all 10 Conferences in the U15-U19 age groups. For this edition, we will be focusing on the Frontier Conference, which spans across the states of Texas, Missouri and Louisiana.

2028
Caelyn Moore| Goalkeeper
HTX 09 (TX)
Selected to the U.S. U-14 Girls Youth National Team Mini Camp in May, Moore is one of the top goalkeepers in her age group and a leader between the posts for HTX. Last season, she led HTX (formerly Houston Dash Academy) to the GA finals in her age group and earned the Golden Gloves award for her effort.
2027
Eleanor Wiseman| Defender
Lonestar SC Academy 09 (TX)
Anchored the Lonestar SC defense last season and was called up to the USWYNT U-14 National ID Camp in June. Wiseman likes to mark attacker closely and can make the tough, decisive tackle to disrupt chances both inside and outside of the eighteen yard box. Her passing skills also help jump start Lonestar’s attack and will play a major role this season for the team out of Texas.
2026
Sophia Saludares| Defender
HTX 07 (TX)
Served as HTX’s number ten last season and did a remarkable job at moving her teammates from a defensive posture to an attacking one. She scored 22 goals last season for HTX while adding 13 assists. In the playoffs, she continued her strong form with six goals and two assists. Sophia has represented the Philippines at the under-17 level.

Alyssa Valdez| Midfielder
BVB International Academy TX 07 (TX)
Scored critical goals for BVB all throughout the 2022-2023 GA season and provided a steadying presence in the midfield, when necessary to maintain an advantage. Valdez was recently selected to participate in BVB’s School of Excellence program.

Lily Selvy| Goalkeeper
Lou Fusz Athletic 08 (MO)
Earned a clean sheet in Lou Fusz 08’s Quarterfinal victory over Central Illinois United in the U15 playoffs last season. In group play she was equally effective, allowing just two goals in three matches. Selvy has received four call-ups to USYNT Identification Camps throughout her career and was selected to participate in the Generation Adidas UK program.

Chloe Bunton| Midfielder
Louisiana TDP Elite 08 (LA)
Scored a goal and added an assist for her USL Academy team (LA Parish Athletic Club) at the recent San Diego Surf Club event. After a standout season with Louisiana TDP Elite, Bunton was selected to the GA’s Frontier Conference Talent ID Roster. She has also participated in the ODP program as a South Regional Pool Player from 2021-2023.
2025
Led the Renegades SC 06 side to three wins in the GA Summer Showcase, helping limit opponents to just two goals. Jeffers runs a tightly organized defensive line and is always talking to her defenders about where there are gaps that need to be plugged. She is a true leader and will be critical to the Renegades ambitions in league play this season.
Powered HTX into an appearance in the GA U16 Quarterfinals after helping the side score 14 goals in Group H play. Diaz is a highly versatile midfielder that can alternate between serving as an attacker and taking on a holding role seamlessly. She is currently representing El Salvador at the CONCACAF U17 W Championship Qualifiers , where she scored a brace against Trinidad and Tobago.
Landry Hopkins | Winger
Lou Fusz Athletic 07 (MO)
Created countless attacking chances for Lou Fusz last season, leading the team to the 2023 National Championship. Her speed wreaked havoc for defenses off of the ball and with it she could immediately force defensive lines out of position, opening up gaps for her teammates to exploit. Has verbally committed to playing college soccer in the fall of 2025 at the University of Missouri.

Addison Baldus | Goalkeeper
Lou Fusz Athletic 07 (MO)
Garnered Most Valuable Player honors for Lou Fusz in the U16 National Finals, leading a defensive unit that shut out a strong attacking side in Central Illinois United while penalty kick victories over SC Wave (3-2) and Cincinnati United Premier (2-1). The captain makes efficient, well-timed runs off of the ball to hold attackers at bay and can reset the attacker with either a pass to the outside or a long cross into open space. She has verbally committed to playing college soccer at Michigan State University.

BVB International Academy NTX 05/06 (TX)
Led the attack with three goals in the final four games to secure a spot in the 2022/23 GA National Playoffs. Her speed, technical skills and finishing were in display with two goals and three assists in preseason friendlies vs top ECNL competition.
