Tigres was dominant throughout their journey to the final. In group play, the Mexican side scored 11 goals, while conceding 0. On Thursday, they continued their stout defense in their semi-final match against Oklahoma Energy FC, securing yet another clean sheet in the club’s 4-0 win. In the nationally televised match, Tigres showed their balance with four different players scoring goals to help secure themselves a spot in the Super 14s final.

Dallas Cup debutant Real Oviedo from Spain has been very impressive up to this point as well. In their three group stage matches, Real Oviedo scored at least four goals in each game. In Thursday’s nationally televised semi-final on Univision Deportes Network, Real Oviedo battled against FC Golden State. FC Golden State was able to keep the high-powered attack mostly in check as the match wound up being decided in PKs after the final whistle blew with the score locked at 1-1. Both keepers made acrobatic saves, but in the end, Real Oviedo punched their ticket to the final.
