Rising sophomore forward Jordyn Crosby transfers to Auburn from Santa Clara
AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn soccer and head coach Karen Hoppa announced the addition of transfer forward Jordyn Crosby to the program.
“We are so very excited to announce Jordyn’s signing,” Hoppa said. “She is a proven goal-scorer at the highest level and is extremely dynamic on and off the ball. She will be an exciting addition to our offense!”
Crosby joins the program as a sophomore after spending the previous year at Santa Clara University. She will immediately be eligible for the upcoming fall season.
Last season, the Broncos went 14-5-1 and appeared in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Crosby appeared in all 21 matches and bagged five goals, three of which served as game-winners against Oregon State, Washington and Portland. She was honored as a member of the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team.
Crosby attended Denmark High School in Alpharetta, Georgia where she was an honor roll member, all-academic player and Team MVP. She was also voted her squad’s most valuable attacker as a senior. For club, Crosby competed with NC Courage and United Futbol Academy.
Auburn soccer returns to action in early August with the commencement of its 26th season under Hoppa. A full schedule will be announced at a later date.
