Rob Ryerson named to U.S. U-18 MNT coaching staff

(Via Potomac Soccer) – U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team head coach Omid Namazi called 36 players for the program’s initial training camp of 2016; it is the first roster he has named since being appointed head coach of the U-18’s earlier this month.
Potomac Soccer Association Technical Director Rob Ryerson was appointed to the staff by Coach Namazi while attending the NSCAA Convention in Baltimore and left for Bradenton, Florida straight from the convention.
Coach Ryerson, who has been a scout for US Soccer for the ’99’s is thrilled to expand his role to coaching the U18’s. Ryerson added, “I’m honored and humbled to be able to work with the highest level of soccer talent in the country and look forward to bringing my experiences back to Potomac Soccer.”
The camp ran from Jan. 17-23 at Premiere Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
Only 12 of the 36-player roster had previous YNT experience and was the first call up for the 24 remaining players.
The U-18 MNT is made up of players born in the year 1999, who will prepare for their first international matches of the year in Argentina in early March.
