Rush Cup on the Coast set with more than 120 teams
More than 120 teams are set to take part in this weekend’s Rush Cup on the Coast, which kicks off at three different locations in Virginia Beach, Va. on Saturday.
Boys and girls teams from Under-9 through U-19 will head for Virginia Rush Soccer Club’s beachside event, with teams from eight states and Canada participating in the tournament.
While there are showers expected in the Tidewater region on Friday, the weather forecast calls for sunny skies and temperatures over the weekend, with temperatures forecast in the high 40s Saturday, rising to the mid-to-upper 50s Sunday.
Cup on the Coast’s U-9 and U-10 games will be played in 7-v-7 format, and U-11 and U-12 games in 8-v-8, with the other age groups fielding full sides. A team champion and finalist will be awarded for each flight.
