Rush for the Cup to serve as qualifier for Generation Adidas Bethesda Premier Cup

(Via Maryland SoccerPlex, Alliance SC, Maryland Rush Montgomery, Bethesda SC) – Beginning in 2015, Rush for the Cup will serve as a qualifier for the nationally-renowned Generation Adidas Bethesda Premier Cup, hosted by Bethesda Soccer Club.

Rush for the Cup, held annually on Labor Day weekend, is entering its third year in 2015 and is sponsored by Alliance Soccer Club, Maryland rush for the cupRush Montgomery and the Maryland SoccerPlex, which is the exclusive host of the event as well as the primary venue for the U-14 to U-19 showcase age groups for the Generation Adidas Bethesda Premier Cup.

Bracket winners in qualifier divisions at Rush for the Cup will receive automatic acceptance into the Generation Adidas Bethesda Premier Cup played over the two weekends leading up to Thanksgiving. Every Rush for the Cup age group on both the boys and girls sides will have one qualifying slot for the Bethesda Premier Cup, which has run for over 30 years and typically hosts about 800 of the top teams in the nation between the two weekends.

Through the partnership with Bethesda SC and the club’s premier level tournament, the SoccerPlex, Alliance SC and Maryland Rush Montgomery will provide local teams and others throughout the region with a chance to play their way into one of the nation’s top showcase events.

Alliance SC, Maryland Rush Montgomery and the SoccerPlex also partner to host the August Cup, which is played the weekend before Rush for the Cup on 22 SoccerPlex fields. The 2015 August Cup will be played from Aug. 28-30, while Rush for the Cup will run September 5-6 with registration for both events opening on March 15.
