SEC Soccer Preseason Watch List features 68 players

Birmingham, Ala. – Sixty-eight student-athletes have been named to the 2022 SEC Soccer Preseason Watch List.

The SEC returns 58 percent (18 of 31) of the players that earned first or second team All-SEC honors last season. Eight first team selections return for the 2022 campaign. Included in the group of returners are 2021 first team All-America Ashley Orkus (Ole Miss) and second team All-America Jaida Thomas (Tennessee).

Tennessee and Arkansas are the favorites to win the 2022 Southeastern Conference women’s soccer title in voting by the league’s 14 head coaches. South Carolina, Auburn and Alabama rounded out the top five.
